I began writing 15 years ago after my second daughter was born.  If I’m honest, I will admit that it all started because I found SAHMhood excruciatingly boring (ducks head for all those stinky diapers coming my way) and needed something to do to keep myself occupied.  Two more daughters, a move to a small 'farm', and way too many animals later, I am still plunking away happily at my keyboard.  I write young adult historical fantasy with a heavy dose or romance and an occasional sprinkling of horror. I am repped by Rachel Brooks of Bookends Literary Agency.

My professional background is in accounting.  I’ve also done a ton of public speaking (in a TED talk kind of way), teaching personal finance along with half a dozen other topics (once people realize you aren’t afraid of speaking in public, you get asked. A lot).  I’ve lived my entire life in northern California, except for 18 months spent in the Canary Islands volunteering for my church and mangling the Spanish language.

And on the animals (since you clearly wanted to know), we currently have sixteen chickens, four horses, three cats, two guinea pigs, a fish tank, and a rabbitry full of rabbits. (My daughter breeds/shows/sells Dwarf Hotots competitively.  I know way more about rabbits that I ever thought I would!)
